ProCredit Bank to Accept U.S. Visa Application Fees
As of September 26, 2005, all nonimmigrant visa applicants must pay the $131 non-refundable application fee at ProCredit bank prior to coming to the Consular Section. The Consular Section will no longer accept payment of this fee on the day of application. This payment will be accepted only in hryvnia at selected ProCredit Bank branches in Kyiv. This convenient, secure service is free of charge to visa applicants.
When you visit one of the selected ProCredit Bank branches in Kyiv, you will receive a smart card (a small plastic card containing a computer chip) with a paper receipt in exchange for your payment. This smart card will be scanned at the Consular Section to confirm payment and one receipt will be retained with the visa application.
At ProCredit Bank, a visa applicant (or someone acting on the applicant’s behalf) must present the applicant’s passport number and name as written in the applicant’s international passport, together with the hryvnia-equivalent of $131. The transaction takes just minutes and can be done at the applicant’s convenience any business day prior to the visa interview date. This will streamline applicants’ visa application processing and save applicants time at the Consular Section.
The new MRV payment system has many advantages:
