VISA ISSUANCE 

At the interview, applicants will be notified if they are issued a visa to the U.S. An interviewing officer will provide an applicant with a green slip which he/she will need to present to the courier service in the consular pavilion to arrange for the delivery of the passport.

Please note that any application may be subject to administrative processing which can delay visa issuance. 

COURIER SERVICE

The Consular Section uses Elin Ltd., a FedEx representative, to return passports and visas to the applicants. The delivery and insurance fee of UAH 60.00 is paid directly to the courier service. The delivery charges for more than one passport to the same address is the following:

2 passports - 90 UAH
3 passports - 120 UAH
4 passports - 150 UAH
5 passports - 180 UAH

Generally, the Consular Section releases passports to the courier service within 5 business days of the visa interview. The courier service delivers them within 2-5 business days depending on the location within Ukraine.

Applicants should keep in mind both visa processing and delivery time when making travel plans to the United States. The Consular Section cannot honor requests to expedite passport delivery.

To find out about the status of the passport delivery, please call Elin Ltd. at 38-044-495-20-32, 38-044-496-00-92 (fax/tel), or send the request via SMS to the following number: 8-050-987-79-23. Applicants must include all digits of the airway bill number, which can be found under the barcode of the courier service receipt.

SMS responses with the information on the status of passport delivery can be received Mon-Fri after 7 PM.

NOTE: The Consular Section does not provide any information regarding passport delivery.
