FEE

APPLICATION FEE

All applicants must pay the mandatory U.S. Machine-Readable Visa (MRV)  application fee of USD 131, paid in UAH according to the exchange rate set by the Embassy as of the date of payment. This fee may be paid at any branch of ProCredit Bank in Ukraine. Please note that the Consular Section cashier does not accept payment for the MRV fee.

A sample of the ProCredit Bank voucher will consist of two copies of payment receipts printed on one page.  One of these copies has to be attached to the visa application, the other one is the applicant’s copy.  The voucher includes a unique payment number as well as the first and the last name of the applicant as it appears in his/her international passport.

The payment can only be made if the visa applicant presents to the bank cashier the original international passport, which will be used for the travel to the U.S., or a copy of the bio-data page of such passport.  If the payment is made by someone on behalf of the visa applicant, a copy of the applicant’s international passport must be provided to the bank cashier.

ProCredit Bank currently offers this service in all branches all over Ukraine. The closest to the Consular Section ProCredit Bank branch is located at 13 Pymonenko Street and at Pavlivska Street 26/41.

For additional information on bank branches which accept the MRV fee payment, please visit the official site of ProCredit Bank

RECIPROCITY FEE

Nonimmigrant visa fees are based on reciprocity, (i.e. the fee another country charges U.S. citizens for a similar type of visa). The United States strives to eliminate visa issuance fees whenever possible; however, when a foreign government imposes such fees on U.S. citizens for certain types of visas, the United States will impose a "reciprocal" fee to nationals of that country for similar type of visas.

There is no reciprocity fee for Ukrainian citizens. Please check the following link if you are a third-country national.

NOTE: The reciprocity fees are paid only in USD cash at the consulate. The payment can be made from 8:00 AM until 1:00 PM and from 2:00 until 3:00 PM. If you do have to pay a reciprocity fee, please schedule your appointment early in the morning.

  1. Payment by credit card on the following website www.fmjfee.com. Individuals who pay on-line can print an electronic receipt immediately.
  2. Cash payment in local currency through the Western Union Quick Pay service at all branches in Ukraine.
  3. DHS has set up a lock box to accept fee payment by mail. Applicants will be able to submit a Form I-901, Fee Remittance for certain F, M, and J non-immigrant visas, together with a check or money order drawn on a U.S. bank and payable in U.S. currency;
  4. Exchange visitor program sponsors may elect to pay the fees for their participants and may do so by applying to DHS to participate in the Bulk Filer program. DHS must approve a sponsor to participate in this payment process.

SEVIS Fee Payment Confirmation

The payment will be recorded into the SEVIS system. However, each prospective F1, M1 or J1 applicant is required to bring proof of the SEVIS fee payment along with all necessary documents on their visa interview day.

There are three acceptable forms which confirm the SEVIS fee payment:

  1. The original I-797 receipt mailed to the applicant's address by DHS;
  2. The electronic receipt which can be printed out immediately after making the payment online;
  3. The original Quick Pay receipt issued by an authorized Western Union branch.

Individuals may request Express delivery service for the I-797 receipt for an additional fee of $30.
