Important information on agencies that offer assistance in application for DV Lottery program

The Consular Section of the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine would like to warn Ukrainian citizens to be careful when turning to agencies that purport to offer assistance with registration for Diversity Visa Lottery or claim to offer other assistance with applications for U.S. immigrant visas ("green cards").

The Consular Section is aware of the existence of these agencies and their activities. We are also aware of the unfortunate experiences of many Ukrainian citizens, who dealt with them. We would like to stress that the U.S. Embassy does not provide accreditation to any such agencies. Therefore, none of them has any special privileges at the Embassy's Consular Section.

It is important to note that Ukrainian citizens do NOT need to pay any substantial fees for advice on how to participate in the Diversity Visa Lottery.

For those who have already applied for a "green card" through such agencies:
If the agency informs you that you have won a "green card" and demands excessive monetary compensation for returning to you the related documentation, please, contact our Consular Section at (044) 490-4422.
