AMBASSADOR PASCUAL TO OPEN USA PAVILON AT “IT” TRADE SHOW

U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Carlos Pascual will officially open the U.S.A. Pavilion at the EnterEX 2001 trade show February 20. EnterEx is a prestigious annual exhibition organized by Euroindex Ltd. under the auspices of Ukraine’s State Committee for Communications. It traditionally inaugurates the business year in Ukraine’s “IT” (information technology) and telecom market. Also participating in the opening will be Oleh Shevchuk, Head of the State Committee for Communications.

The U.S.A. Pavilion is organized by the U.S. Embassy’s Foreign Commercial Service (FCS) in Kyiv. It will feature nine leading American high-tech manufacturers of communications and IT equipment and services, including Intel, Compaq, and Sun Microsystems, among others. The event marks the first time that FCS has sponsored a U.S.A. Pavilion in Ukraine since the country gained independence 10 years ago. It underscores the strengthening of trade and economic ties between Ukraine and the United States.

The ribbon cutting ceremony will take place at 11:40 a.m., February 20 at Hall 9 of the National Exhibition Center of Ukraine (1 Akademika Hlushkova Prospekt).
