Serhii Hulyan, a member of the Ukrainian Department of Underwater Heritage, waves goodbye to his colleagues as they depart Military Sealift Command oceanographic survey ship USNS Pathfinder (T-AGS 60). Gulyan and his colleagues are participants in the joint at-sea capabilities demonstration with civilian surveyors from the U.S. Naval Oceanographic Office and U.S.-based Institution for Exploration. During the at-sea demonstration, Pathfinder is searching for Soviet-flagged hospital ship SS Armenia that was sunk during WWII.
