Chornobyl Fund Launches 32nd Airlift to Mark 20th Anniversary of Nuclear Disaster

Kyiv, April 20, 2006


First Lady of Ukraine Mrs. Kateryna Yushchenko thanks the Children of Chornobyl Relief and Development Fund and the U.S. government for their help in delivering medical supplies to the victims of the Chornobyl accident.  She is flanked by U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine John E. Herbst and Gerald Oberndorfer, Director of the U.S. Department of State's Office of Assistance to Europe and Eurasia.  Mr. Oberndorfer's Office has delivered $582 million in donated medical supplies to Ukraine since 1992
