ORPHAN GROUP APPLICATION PROCESS  

Orphan groups must schedule a group appointment through the Call Center. Orphan groups must schedule a group appointment through the Call Center. In order to schedule an appointment, the groups must provide the Call Center with:

  • a letter issued by the local Department of Family, Youth and Sports City/Regional Administration in charge of the orphanage which allows the orphans to travel;
  • names, addresses, phone numbers, and e-mail addresses of all host families, along with the name of the child or children each will host.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS AND THEIR ORDER FOR EACH GROUP MEMBER

  1. Permission for the orphans’ travel issued by the local Department of Family, Youth and Sports City/Regional Administration in charge of the orphanage.
  2. Letters from employers for chaperons accompanying the group.
  3. A letter of invitation from a U.S. organization with accompanying contact information.

NOTE: Children 13 years of age and younger do not need to appear at the Consular Section in person.
