How can I find friends and relatives in the United States?

The Privacy Act makes it difficult for any agency of the United States Government to disclose private information and addresses of individuals.
When seeking information, provide to the agency as much information and documentation as possible (for example, a birth certificate or information about the date and place of birth), and explanations of why you are seeking the individual.

3. Place an advertisement in a local newspaper in the area where you believe your relative or friend may be living.

4. To contact family members disappeared as a result of war, civil disturbance, or natural disaster, contact the Ukrainian Red Cross http://www.redcross.org.ua/
