With a goal to provide the most up-to-date and accurate information possible about the United States, the Information Resource Center (IRC) offers access to a variety of both traditional and electronic resources. We have a wealth of online resources and databases, including "Books in Print", "Directories of Associations", and "Thomas Register." The IRC also subscribes to the services of LexisNexis database for up-to-the-minute news and legal information.

The IRC staff accepts reference requests by phone, fax, or e-mail and is open for consultation only by appointment Monday - Friday from 10am to 4:30pm.

The Information Resource Center is administered by the Public Affairs Section of the U.S. Embassy in Kyiv, Ukraine and its mission is to provide information about U.S. politics, economics, democratic traditions, society, and other issues of bilateral interest. The Center was established in the spring of 1999.

Our target audience includes Ukrainian government officials, representatives of the media, non-governmental organizations, educators, legal professionals, librarians, and others. The IRC offers fast Internet access for your research needs through several sit-down workstations.
