GSO Procurement Section provides contracting support to the U.S.Embassy in Kyiv using the following procurement mechanisms:

Formal Contracts

  • The U.S.Embassy has a number of ongoing service contracts, such as, Packing & Shipping Contract, Health Insurance Contract (for locally employed staff), Copier Services Contract, and a few construction contracts.

    Purchase Orders

  • These are the order issued to the open market vendors, both U.S. and Ukrainian, with overall value of $3,000,000.00 per year.

    Delivery Orders

  • These order are placed against existing GSA contracts or Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity Purchase Orders awarded by U.S.Embassy Kyiv.

    Blanket Purchase Agreements

  • This mechanism is widely used for fulfilling recurring demands for various goods and services, such as, fuel, expendable supplies, computer supplies, appliances, auto-repair and cleaning services, etc. The volume of purchases is over $360,000.00 annually.

    Government Purchase Card Orders

  • This mechanism is used mostly for ordering from U.S. vendors with the single-purchase limit of up to $25,000.00. The annual volume of purchase is over $130,000.00 and is expected to increase dramatically in coming years.

    Imprest Fund Purchases

  • This mechanism is used for small local purchases not exceeding $500.00. The approximate annual purchasing volume is $100,000.00. Purchases include, but are not limited to, various construction material, office and computer supplies, etc.
