2010-2009 Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Program for Mid-Career Professionals

Administering Organization in Ukraine: Public Affairs Section, U.S. Embassy

Description: Ten-month, non-degree program for mid-career professionals who have a completed professional degree and at least five years of substantial and progressive professional experience in the corresponding field. Candidates should have demonstrated leadership abilities, dedication to public service, self-guidance and professional potential. The program is designed for policy-makers, planners, administrators and managers, and it is expected that candidates will be focused on policy issues rather than research. English proficiency is required.

  • Agricultural and Rural Development
  • Economic Development/Finance and Banking
  • HIV/AIDS Policy and Prevention
  • Natural Resources/Environmental Policy/Climate Change
  • Public Health Policy and Management
  • Urban and Regional Planning

Before completing an application, please read the instructions carefully. Please forward your application in electronic form to the program coordinator at the Public Affairs Section. Transcripts and reference letters should be forwarded as hard copies to the address below and should be received by the Application deadline.

Application Deadline: July 1, 2009

Consultation for H. Humphrey Program applicants on writing essays and the application process will be conducted on May 15, 2009 and May 22, 2009 at 15:00 at the Public Affairs Section, 4 Hlybochytska Str., Kyiv. In order to attend a consultation, interested individuals must register by 17:00, correspondingly, on May 11 and May 19 with the coordinator via the e-mail. Registered individuals will receive confirmation of registration via e-mail.
