Working for U.S. Exporters
The Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS) of the U.S. Department of
Agriculture (USDA) works to help U.S. exporters of agricultural products to
see commodities in markets thought the World.
In Ukraine FAS provides the following resources:
Agricultural Commodity Reporting for the following major commodity groups:
Grains and Feeds, Sugar, Livestock, Poultry, Dairy, Oilseeds and Products.
The reports are available through the Foreign Agricultural Service Web Site.
Import Tariffs and Certification
We can provide the latest available information on import tariffs on all agricultural products and food as well
as import plant quarantine, veterinary and certification requirements.
Trade Facilitation
USDA/FAS-Kyiv Office can provide Ukrainian importers
with contact information on U.S. suppliers and transmit the trade leads
from Ukrainian companies via USDA/FAS "Trade Lead" System.
USDA/FAS-Kyiv office collects and disseminates information on major
Ukrainian food and agricultural shows.
Technical Assistance Programs
Cochran Fellowship Program provides a short-term training (2-3 weeks) in
the U.S. for Ukrainian agribusiness representatives in the fields of
livestock, poultry feeding, food processing, agricultural marketing,
management, banking and other fields.
The Faculty Exchange Program (FEP)
The FEP is a six month training at the
leading U.S. Land Grant Universities for Ukrainian professors in the fields
of ag economics, agribusiness and law in order to allow them to develop new
and update existing subjects taught at their Universities in Ukraine.
