APPLICATION PROCEDURE

Certain applicants who have previously received a U.S. visa may qualify for the simplified application procedure (Drop Box). Those who have never had a U.S. visa or do not qualify for the Drop Box should schedule an appointment through the Call Center: 044-207-7071 (if calling from the United States, please call 1-888-826-2340). To make an appointment, callers need to provide the Call Center operator with the full name, date of birth, the international passport number, and contact telephone number of the applicant.

NOTE: Those requesting an emergency medical/humanitarian visa appointment, please click here. For an expedited business or student visa appointment, please click here

  1. Applicants should then prepare the General Application Package and bring those required documents with them to their interview. Depending on the specific visa type needed, additional documents may be required. Please click here for information on visa types and document requirements.
  2. Applicants must follow the security requirements on the day of the interview.
  3. Before the interview, each applicant will have their fingerprints captured. Please follow the guidelines for fingerscanning and make sure you do not have any temporary cuts or marks on your index fingers that would require you to reschedule your interview.
  4. When issued a visa, applicants must proceed to the courier service to pay for passport and visa delivery.

NOTE: Third country-nationals may apply for visas at the US Embassy Kyiv. However, if such applicants do not speak English, Ukrainian, or Russian they should be aware that language difficulties and interviewing officers' unfamiliarity with local conditions in their country may make it more difficult to demonstrate their qualifications for a visa. Third country-nationals should be aware of reciprocity fees that may apply.
